I’m pursuing building up a new art series. Previously I have focused mainly on portraits and botanicals. This new series I’m working on will be mainly figure with strong colour backgrounds. My plan for these new artworks is to have them exhibited.
Here is the preview of what I’m currently working on. These three figures have been very inspiring to lately and I wanted the chance to paint them as soon as possible.
I’m challenging myself to paint figures in oil paint upon layers of ink, working with a colourful background that represent a mood.
The blue painting is a painting that I feel very fond of. It reminds me of the short Scandinavian nights where the night turns dark blue.
The red painting is stunning, a passion piece of will and opportunities.
The green painting respresents what once was and never will be again. A quiet moment of loss.
I’m excited to see the development of further pieces of the figures.
